What is mesotherapy skin rejuvenation?

Mesotherapy skin rejuvenation injections nourish, hydrate and rejuvenate your skin replacing naturally occurring vitamins and nutrients. Mesotherapy treatment at the Urban Aesthetix Clinic delivers a ‘cocktail’ of safe, biocompatible and absorbable nutrients that are essential to stimulate the growth of collagen and elastin for healthy, glowing skin.

Vitamins, amino-acids, minerals and hyaluronic acid all occur naturally in our bodies but degrade as we grow older, leading to dry, tired and sagging skin. Mesotherapy skin rejuvenation replenishes these natural substances with specially prepared active ingredients, injected directly into the skin cell with a very fine needle.

The treatment helps your skin regain its youthful elasticity and appearance, with results that are quick and long lasting.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Cellulite: to reduce the appearance of cellulite by localising fat deposits and promoting weight loss by stimulating metabolism, local circulation and fat breakdown

  • Hair loss: to help restore thin hair and promote hair regrowth.

What does mesotherapy skin rejuvenation treatment involve?

Treatment is simple and safe if carried out by Dr Unnati, who is an experienced and fully qualified clinician, following a detailed consultation to examine the areas to treat and decide on what is best for you.

Dr Unnati will apply a series of micro injections at the epidermal layer of the skin by hand or with an injection device delivering rapid injections for larger areas. These ingredients contain naturally occurring micro nutrients such as hyaluronic acid, vitamins (A, B, C, E, K), minerals, coenzymes and nucleic acids which are delivered directly to the target area to reduce sagging and restore hydration.

You may feel a mild pricking sensation; anaesthetic cream can be applied before treatment for sensitive areas.

How soon should you notice a difference?

Results are noticeable right away.

How long does mesotherapy skin rejuvenation treatment last?

Results vary depending on the patient. You may need a course of between 3 and 10 skin rejuvenation treatments depending on the area being treated.

Medical grade skincare products may be recommended to maintain the results together with occasional ‘top-up’ treatments.

Points to consider

Any clinical procedure carries a risk of complications, which is why it is always highly advisable to have non-surgical cosmetic treatments safely performed by a doctor. Dr Unnati is a GP and specialist Non-Surgical Aesthetic Physician, trained in dermatology and medical cosmetics.

The Urban Aesthetix Clinic follows strict guidelines in making patients fully aware of any possible cautions and complications, and in offering post treatment advice. Dr Unnati will undertake a full consultation before any new treatment can be given.

Are there any side effects to mesotherapy skin rejuvenation?

You may experience minimal bruising, swelling and marks from the mesotherapy injections but these are only temporary. Infection, allergy, scar or pigmentation is very rare.

You can apply ice packs to reduce swelling and bruising, and Dr Unnati will hydrate your skin if needed.

There is a minimal risk of infection as the needle break the natural barrier to infection when creating a small wound in the skin. Please therefore avoid touching the area treated and using unsterile make up for 4 – 6 hours.

When should mesotherapy skin rejuvenation not be used/be used with caution?

  • While pregnant or breast feeding
  • If you are highly sensitive/ allergic to ingredients in the compound
  • If the areas to be injected are inflamed or infected
